This article hit even more home for me because I grew up in the north suburbs and this article talks about a nonprofit group that was started in Northfield, IL for middle schoolers who are a part of the LGBT community.
This not only is beneficial to teens who have difficulty coming out but also acts as a community for them to feel safe and comfortable with their sexual orientation, something I find to be a great and useful out reach for teens.
